The AIRHAWK R is designed with a center gap that runs from the front to the back of the cushion.  The result is NO CONTACT to the:
  1. Tailbone,
  2. Prostate, and
  3. Scrotum
The Airhawk R address the three most sensitive areas for most riders by removing all pressure.  In addition, this inovative cushion has a unique cell design that is designed to improve airflow under the rider and reduce hot seat. The R Cushion provides all the traditional benefits of other Airhawk cushion plus the added benefits above.  Perfect for riders that have issues with coccyx pain or prostatitis.  Fits even the widest saddles or derrieres!

Cushion comes standard with cover, attachment loops, and cruiser straps.

Benefits:
  • Eliminates Pain - The Airhawk 2 patented cellular construction allows air to be slowly exchanged one cell to another. This process evens the pressure across your sitting surface, eliminating painful pressure points that cause that agonizing sitting pain so common in distance rides.
  • Eliminates Numbness  - Because you're riding on air, the Airhawk 2 absorbs virtually all of the vibration that leads to numb bum.
  • Eliminates Hot Seat - Unlike gel, water or foam, air cell technology allows your back end to breath and eliminate that monkey butt feeling.  The seat cover features a Lycra like material that is designed to wick away moisture and has vented sides that allow air to constantly flow through the cushion cells while riding.
How it works:
The Airhawk works using air cells to even the pressure across your seating surface.  

It takes very little air for the cushion to perform optimally.  The Cushion inflates easily with twist and inflate valve.  Simply twist to open the valve, give the seat cushion a couple of puffs to inflate it, then twist the valve closed.  Next, sit on the cushion and slowly leak air from it by twisting the valve open until you're barely sitting above the motorcycle seat. 

Optimally, you don't want to bottom out, but you don't want any more air in the cushion than what is necessary to keep you off the motorcycle seat.  This perfect combination of air is all you need to provide the perfect cushion surface to even out the pressure across your butt while not elevating you above your normal sitting hight.

I absolutely LOVE mine. I bought a korean motorcycle with very little padding. 45 minutes and I was in pain. I had 3" of foam added to the seat by a local upholstery company. My ride time improved to 1.5 hours at a time. A 7 hour ride would still take 9 hours with all the stops to get feeling back in the posterior. With my new AIRHAWK, the longest run I've been on so far was only 2 hours, but I can say it is the difference between night and day! I also love that it takes up such a small space in my bag when I get where I'm going, by simply deflating it. I will tell everyone; READ THE DIRECTIONS about proper air inflation amount. It is not supposed to be full. I can also say; I looked at prices all over the internet. THIS site has the BEST price anywhere. STOP looking, and buy one! I ordered the new AirHawk R seat pad from bikercushion.com.  The price was great -- $20 less than I found anywhere else.  My AirHawk arrived in just 3 or 4 days after I order it.  So far, so good!

The Airhawk cushions do get excellent reviews but they did not work for me. I first tried the medium then the R model. I was still feeling the pain I always do. After talking to the rep on the phone we both agreed that I did have the proper inflation. Now I want to say that BikerCushion.com is a stand up company and an excellent comp. to deal with. They accepted both returns with no problems.
