The Butty Buddy is designed to easily add the width and shape
a motorcycle passenger needs in a comfortable seat without damaging your bike
or taking away from its look. Providing
a full 13 ½ inches in width, this passenger seat is portable and is designed to
assemble and install fast before each ride. The seat material is made from closed cell
foam that is water proof, After the ride, the seat easily detaches and breaks
down to store in the included tote.
There are no holes to drill, clamps to attach or anything
else that would damage the paint on your bike in any way. The Butty Buddy installs on existing passenger
pillions by gripping the pillion with four adjustable stanchions. It is further secured by elastic straps that
can loop under the seat or grip the underside of the rear fender. If your bike has a bare fender, the seat attaches
using four huge suction cups that swivel to the shape the bare fender but keep
the seat off the fender to prevent marring. The straps can also be used to add further
stability. Installation and removal is
quick and easy taking under a minute.

Since we have recently began offering a ButtyBuddy seat that
is specially pre-set up to fit all bare fender applications, including the
larger rounded 360 fenders, it is important that you specify your application.
These illustrations show the difference in the two set-ups at a glance.
Please note that the BARE FENDER APPLICATION cannot be used
on flat finish paint, neither does it come with the bag of set-up tools,
straps, and positioning stops (These are used only with the 'Over Existing
Seat' application.)

Q: “What keeps it from falling off?”
A: The Scientific law of physics called “Angular Momentum” is what keeps motorcycle riders, passengers, and your ButtyBuddy extremely stable and squarely aligned with a controlled motorcycle’s center of gravity. No matter how intense the leaning may get, even in extreme transitions like switchback curves, it is irrelevant to the dynamics of stability. When considering this law of physics, ButtyBuddy could be considered an extension of the rider, not the motorcycle. Point is - it works!
Q: “How can it be stable when it is not bolted down?”
A: It is very stable because of two specific design features incorporated into the design of the PATENTED ButtyBuddy.
1.) It is fitted with four “Positioning stops” which firmly engage the sides of the motorcycle seat and control any lateral rotational movement.
2.) The “tunneled” gripper area underneath the center engages the passenger’s weight at the outer edges, minimizing any lateral left / right rocking effect.
Q: “How is it attached to the motorcycle seat?”
A: Exactly the same way as the passenger’s butt is…gravity and friction, only better! ButtyBuddy is fitted with a hi-tech “gripper” element that maintains exceptional static retention against the top of your motorcycle’s seat surface, that’s gripping power more than ten times greater than that of a denim clad passenger.
Q: “How can it possibly fit so many different bikes when there is such a wide variety of seat shapes and sizes?”
A: ButtyBuddy has a specific set-up adjustment options that enable it to be fitted to almost any size or shape passenger seat. The initial one time set-up requires about 15 minutes adjusting everything to fit your specific seat. Positioning is now instantly repeated every time it is snapped together and used thereafter…removal does not change your presets.
Q: “Approximately how much time does it take to get it situated on the motorcycle seat when you get ready to use it?”
A: 2-3 seconds…really! The seat is equipped with four positioning stops that you have preset to snugly fit your specific motorcycle passenger seat. Once those stops are preset, the ButtyBuddy goes on instantly into position.
Q: “Does it wiggle around under the passenger’s butt?”
A: It will feel different than what the passenger is used to, but primarily it is just that…different! The rider very quickly accustoms to its stability and becomes much more focused on the incredible comfort of her new riding experience!
Q: “Does it make the passenger sit up higher?”
A: It does elevate the passenger slightly, an average of 1.5 inches, however much of that is the result of now having full support underneath the butt upon what was previously an invasively narrow seat.
Q: “Since my bike does not have a sissy bar, and my girl has a habit of rising up off her seat, could the ButtyBuddy blow off?”
A: She is probably rising up because she is uncomfortable, but for blow-off prevention on bikes without sissy bars, ButtyBuddy comes with adjustable heavy-duty rubber strap downs for optional use.
Q: “What if I buy a ButtyBuddy and find out it doesn’t fit my passenger seat the way I think it should or maybe I just change my mind?”

Q: “Is it a hassle to put on and take off?”
A: Not at all. It is a three piece snap-together assembly that requires approximately 15 seconds for her on-the-bike or off-the-bike transition.

Q: “What if my bike is a chopper with no passenger seat?”
A: Not a problem. ButtyBuddy comes with a set of four (4) Monster Pillion-type suction cups for bare fender applications. Since all state and local laws vary; it is the user’s responsibility to discern applicable legalities and safety issues.
