The unique, patented design has been distinctively engineered to offer superior comfort, by combining anatomical contouring with inteconnected air cells. Comes complete with a unique, contoured fitted cover. The black cover has a non-skid bottom so that it will not slide on your existing seat and has loops on each side for you to attach with bungee or other cord to your motorcyle seat. The contoured top is a stretch lycra material to allow you to sink into your cushion and is a breathable covering to keep things cool while you ride. OK.  I've been a gel pad user for years, but I will be a Freedom Air Cushion guy for life.  A buddy of mine let me try his on our 600+ mile ride to the Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally in Fayetteville last year.  

The contour of the cushion really helps take the pressure off your inner thighs.  It was easy to inflate, get on the bike and adjust.  The key is just a little air in the cushion which I didn't get initially and it felt like I was riding on hard air bubbles.  After my buddy laughed and told me to let most of the air out, tada! It worked perfectly.

Expensive, but compared to cost of other "necessary" stuff (wink) I've put on my bike, this was a no brainer.
